Sara Curiel Paez

Sara is a bilingual, bi-cultural organizational development consultant and partner at Capacity Building Partnerships with over 15 years of experience in leadership development, board engagement, and strategic planning. She brings a deep commitment to equity and participatory leadership shaped by her lived experience as a first-generation Mexican American woman. Sara has worked extensively across rural Oregon and internationally developing curriculum, delivering leadership programs, and supporting   community-based organizations. Prior to co-founding Capacity Building Partnerships, she was a Senior Consultant at the Nonprofit Association of Oregon and served as a Program Manager for Rural Development Initiatives. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in Public Policy from Oregon State University, is a certified Meyers Briggs practitioner and holds certifications from BoardSource for nonprofit board consulting and from Cornell University for nonprofit financial management. Sara is currently completing a certification in organizational change management to further support transformational work in mission-driven organizations.
